Jennifer Delgado-Cheers, LPCC, NCC

I was born and raised near the beautiful beaches of southeastern North Carolina. After high school, I started my undergraduate degree at East Carolina University but soon left my home state to join the Army and see the world. It was during my military service that I met my partner, Lourdes.

After I left the Army, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Rutgers University in New Jersey and then went to work in the travel industry for several years. Our daughter was born in 2006 and I was fortunate enough to get to spend her first years at home with her before returning to Argosy University to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I completed one year of internship counseling at the Gender Identity Center of Colorado and am committed to working with the GLBTQ community on issues of gender identity and sexual orientation as well as internalized phobias, coming out, relationship issues and pain and trauma.
